The Contemporary Christian Artist served 5 years as Music Director at International Community Church of God, a multi-ethnic worship center which seats 1,800 in Frederick, Maryland. Marti’s passion in sharing God’s love and healing power through the gift of worship is leading her to do more outreach ministry beyond the four walls of a church building. With Marti’s ability to flow from contemporary gospel to CCM, her music transcends through various worship styles.
For more than 20 years, well-respected worship leader Marti Dorner has been using her gifts to lead people into the presence of God. Marti has a heart for people and desire that they walk in the fullness of God’s calling for their lives. This worshiper’s convictions stems from her own life’s experiences of loss, pain, and challenges to a victorious lifestyle of worship.
The worshiper released her debut inspirational CD, entitled Marti, which is not only a sonic masterpiece for the songwriter but a personal testimony of her trials and triumphs. The 11-track CD received rave reviews. Bob Marovich of TheBlackGospelBlog.com calls “Sacrifice,” a single from the project, “hypnotic” and “a simple song of which Marti’s vocal float and soar.” Radio has been enjoying the CD as well as CJBRadio.com putting multiple singles on rotation.

In 2011, Marti received the distinguish Newsome Award for Female Vocalist of the year. The distinction, presented by the Baltimore-based organization, recognized the singer for her musical talents and new CD. She also appeared on Trinity Broadcasting Network, Super Channel 55 and Babbie’s House. The Atlanta-based television program is the brainchild of Christian singer, Babbie Mason, an artist that Marti has been blessed to work with. In addition, Marti opened for Gospel stars Vickie Winans and Wess Morgan at United For A Purpose Concert.
A native of the Bahamas, Marti started singing music at the tender age of eight in the church. Growing up with evangelistic parents and eight siblings, her home was always filled with music. After moving to Orlando, Marti developed her artistry by singing in multiple platforms such as churches, arenas, radio stations, recording studios and making television appearances. Marti’s vocal expertise has also led her to record professionally for Disney Studios, DuPont, Amway and other corporate organizations.
Marti and her husband Doug, of 20 years, have 2 boys and resides in Maryland.
